White Court was the vision of architect Arthur Little, who designed the original estate in 1895.

For decades, the property served as a single-family home. It was during this era in 1925 that Calvin Coolidge selected it to be his summer White House. The main hall of White Court—to be known as the Coolidge Room—will display photos of the President, his wife, and their family dog strolling the grounds nearly a century ago.

In 1954, the property underwent its first reinvention when the Sisters of Mercy acquired it and converted it into a school. Under their ownership, Marian Court College operated for 50 years. When the school closed in 2015, the property was poised for yet another transformation.
